This photo was part of the research for the "Our School History" project and used in the final plaque at the West Bloomfield School District headquarters. Gen. Frederick S. Strong donated Apple Island to the West Bloomfield School District in honor of his late wife. In 1970, the island was dedicated as The Marjorie Ward Strong Nature Preserve. |
