Apple Island 2015 Birds Eye The picture taken is of a birds eye view of two lakes. Sitting in the back middle of the larger shown lake is an island. Sorrounding the the lakes and on the island are trees. The trees range from green, to red, to yellow, or orange. In the lake you can see how shallow it is with lighter colors being shallow and darker to show how deep it is. On the lakes there are some white docks that lead into them. The lakes temselves are oddly shaped blobs. Inside the lake there are alot of different shades of blues and greens. |

This photo was part of the research for the "Our School History" project. Gen. Frederick S. Strong donated Apple Island to the West Bloomfield School District in honor of his late wife. In 1970, the island was dedicated as The Marjorie Ward Strong Nature Preserve. |
