Mary and Her Little Lamb 16" x 20" reproduction on canvas of painting that hung in Whitfield Elementary School (the original oil painting by Roy C. Gamble is on exhibit at Sylvan Lake City Hall) Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fisher commissioned Roy C. Gamble to paint the picture of "Mary and Her Little Lamb" on September 17, 1928. The painting hung over the fireplace in the kindergarten room in the center of Whitfield School from 1929 to 1991. Whitfield School was an elementary school located in Sylvan Lake on Orchard Lake Road. It closed in 1991, and was razed in 2003. |
